KyaniteLabs Studio — est. 2017
Available for 2026 engagements

Software engineering for teams shipping high-stakes products — in logistics, healthcare, and AI infrastructure.

We’re a studio of nine engineers who join in when the work is load-bearing: the dispatch engine, the clinical workflow, the eval pipeline. We stay until it’s in production and we measure what we changed.

Working with

Small teams. Long engagements. Boring infrastructure underneath the interesting work.

Every engagement starts with one of us — usually a founder — embedded with your team for two weeks. We’re trying to understand the system, the people maintaining it, and the part of the roadmap that’s actually blocked. We’ll either tell you we’re a fit and propose a plan, or we’ll send you to someone better. Roughly a third of these go the second way.

When we take a project we run it like a product team, not a contractor. That means two to four of us, full-time, for a quarter or a year. We use your stack where it’s reasonable. We write the deployment scripts and the on-call docs. We try to leave the codebase a little easier to work in than we found it — not because it’s in scope, but because we’ll regret it later if we don’t.

We do not bill by the hour, take retainers, or sign master services agreements with arbitration clauses. We don’t have a sales team. The first conversation is with whoever will work on your project.
